Hello Friend

Dear Friend,

Perhaps you are like me and have family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances who assert that Jesus has done away with the "law" (Torah) for the Christian. They proclaim all we need is a personal relationship with Jesus. Perhaps they accuse you of "trying to be Jewish;" or, of "trying to earn your salvation." It could be that they continually throw out passage after passage from the New Testament while ignoring the mass of information (77% of the text) contained in the TaNaK (Old Testament) which directs us to actually KEEP the Commandments of God.

If you are anything like I am this has frustrated you to no end. I decided several years ago that I would remain quiet; and, not speak to many of those who do so. Meanwhile I have personally taken the time to improve my own argument and seek the face of our King simultaneously.

My pursuit of writing was born out of a love for writing which developed in college. This desire is still expanding; and, is coupled with a desire to respond to several family members whom I love. Some have chosen to reject me along with anything I have to say about Messiah. My desire is that if I cannot reach them; if they refuse to hear; or, to see that my own pain; and, my own effort I have placed into giving them an answer can be used by others to reach those they love.

May the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob fill you with His Holy Spirit and guide you into all truth.

As of today (04-25-2016) I have been able to identify thirty seven (37) passages in the New Testament that are systematically abused by those who are "untaught" and "unstable" (2 Peter 3:16) as they twist Paul's own words contradicting both Messiah Himself; and, the eternal words of the Elohim he proclaims to serve. I encourage you to read what the Bible says about these two terms "untaught" and "unstable" which I have written extensively about. Each has their own chapter in my book The Will Of Our Heavenly Father which you can read for free at www.tsavah.com.

I will post these thirty seven (37) passages because it is VITAL we know where they are located. It is also IMPERATIVE that we become students of both Hebrew; and, of Greek searching BOTH the Greek Translation of the New Testament AS WELL AS the Greek Translation of the Old Testament (LXX). We must do so because we are commanded to study to show ourselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15). If we do not then we do a tremendous disservice to ourselves and to others as they follow along blindly listening to false teachers who lead them towards destruction. We MUST give an account for not only what we do; but, also what we say. Come along with me as we learn to contend for the faith as we teach others about the process of sanctification and how it applies to us so that we might be justified by Messiah and participate in the Salvation of the Saints.

Friends I would like to point out that Phil here has actually "summarized" most of the passages used to teach Jesus did away with the law. However I would caution you to recognize that he has not actually cited the passages word for word. Nor has he given you any systematic study on the usages and appearances of the terms for "law" which appear in both the Old and New Testaments.

Personally I embarked upon a study of exactly such a thing. Had I known it would be so cumbersome I probably wouldn't have done it to begin with. Yet as I am close to wrapping it up I realize I didn't do it for me. I was given the privilege of doing it for you. I was called to do it so that I might SHARE what I discovered and that we might all be better students. That we might all learn to be better Bereans because of it.

For now just know that these are commonly used passages. Bookmark them read them in context and be familiar with them because as time progresses; God willing we will deal with almost all of them and show just how poor the scholarship and theology is behind these assertions. Friends the enemy is mocking Yahweh. He is laughing at Him and His children. However he doesn't get the last laugh. Be a Berean and ensure you aren't deceived by the Father of Lies. This post isn't an answer. It's just the beginning.

Shalom
